Sanjeeva Srivastava

Prof. Sanjeeva Srivastava is Group Leader of Proteomics Laboratory at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay India, and a Visiting Scientist at the Biodesign Institute Arizona. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta and post-doc from the Harvard Medical School in the area of proteomics. Current research in his group centers on using high throughput proteomics for biomarker discovery in cancer and other diseases, to study protein-protein interactions and drug target discovery. The group has developed E-learning resources such as Virtual Laboratory as a community resource to advance this knowledge frontier for the benefit of global health. Dr. Srivastava has published over 40 papers in high-impact scientific journals, including Nature Biotechnology. He is recipient of several awards such as National Young Scientist Award (Canada), Young Scientist Awards (India) and the Apple Research Technology Support Award (UK). Recently he has received prestigious award from IIT Bombay – Young Investigator of year 2011. His name is included in Who’s who in medicine and healthcare. He serves as Editor-in-Chief for the peer reviewed International Journal of Genomics and Proteomics, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief for Current Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Medicine and several other international journals.
